Soley Olafsson

Soley is a medical student pursuing her MD in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program with clinical interests in cardiology and women’s health. Her interest in the heart was first piqued during research in Dr. Mike Regnier’s Heart and Muscle Mechanics lab at the University of Washington. In the MacRae lab, Soley focuses on modeling a rare form of heart disease using human embryonic stem cell derived cardiomyocytes. She hopes to further elucidate the pathological processes behind Arrhythmogenic Ventricular Cardiomyopathy and how these might be prevented or reversed.
