I am the BWH zebrafish facility manager and I have been working with zebrafish for 13 years. First I worked as a scientist studying desmosomal intercellular junctions in the zebrafish heart and currently I am running the daily operations of the facility. I train, assist scientists with zebrafish husbandry and experiments and I assure users are in compliance with all standard operation protocols and institutional, state, and federal regulations. In addition, I act as full voting member and aquatics specialist on the BWH IACUC committee. I received a Bachelor in Biology and a masters and a PhD degree in Biotechnology from Ghent University in Belgium.
