David Chiang


Originally from Taiwan by way of Canada, David obtained his MD/PhD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, with a thesis on the role of protein phosphatases in atrial fibrillation. He completed a research fellowship in Utrecht University in The Netherlands and residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital before joining the MacRae lab as a research fellow in 2018. David is interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmias in order to develop novel therapeutics.
