Wei Dai, PhD

I did my B.S. in biology at Fudan University, China, and Ph.D. in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I am interested in early developmental atherogenesis, the process of atherogenesis in children and young adults long before progressing to late stage coronary heart disease in aged people. My research utilizes cellular and molecular approaches to develop novel reporters of early developmental atherogenesis and potential molecular targets for therapeutic intervention. I am also developing live imaging approaches to understand the dynamic change of immune cells in hyperlipidemia zebrafish models.
